EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications

To help our volunteers to avoid missing an important YCSAB email, we send a notification to your personal email address whenever a new email is received for you in your YCSAB email.

Some volunteers may wish to adjust or disable this feature.

To disable new email notifications, first log in to https://mail.youcantspoilababy.org

  1. Click the “Settings” gear
  2. Click “Filters”
  3. Click “Send notification about YCSAB email”
  4. Click the “Filter enabled” switch to disable (or re-enable) notifications
  5. Click “Save”

Copies of Support emails

To help our volunteers to avoid missing an important email regarding a ticket in our request tracking system, we send a copy of the email to your personal email address.

Some users may wish to customize this functionality, or disable it altogether.

To disable sending your copies of all Support emails, first log in to https://mail.youcantspoilababy.org

  1. Click the “Settings” gear
  2. Click “Filters”
  3. Click “Send copy of YCSAB Support email”
  4. Click the “Filter enabled” switch to disable (or re-enable) sending copies
  5. Click “Save”

Some users may wish to receive some but not all Support emails. You can easily filter-out emails you do not wish to have copied to your personal email address by adjusting the filter rule.

Notice in the default filter rule there are two placeholders for Subject and Body. You can adjust the text in the placeholders as you wish to exclude emails that contain matching text.

For example:

If you want to filter-out emails containing “New request alert” in the subject, just put “New request alert” in the “Subject” “not contains” rule.

If you want to filter-out emails for a specific request type, like “Volunteer: Make One Gift” alerts, you can put “Volunteer: Make One Gift” in the “Body” “not contains” rule.

If you want to add multiple rules to exclude or include only specific Support emails, feel free to adjust or add to these filter rules.
